Dr. Lee delivers a 2-day lecture on systematic review and meta analysis at SNU
Dr. Lee delivers a 2-day lecture on systematic review and meta analysis at Seoul National University.
Invited speaker’s bio
Dr. Lee is an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies and Gender Studies (cross-appointment) at Queen’s University. As an emerging scholar and the lead of the In Situ Population Health Research Lab, Lee’s research aims to provide solutions to varying environmental and social issues (e.g., climate change, structural racism, gender issues) while bridging social theories (e.g., intersectionality) and quantitative methodology to promote population health. Lee has participated in or conducted 10 systematic reviews and other types of synthesis over the past 5 years.
Lecture Note
Supported by BK21, Lee’s lecture will focus on providing SNU graduate researchers with a comprehensive overview of the systematic review process. Day 1 lecture is divided into two parts: During Part I, Lee will share her research career she built in Canada with an emphasis on her experiences in participating in systematic reviews and meta-analyses as a graduate student and eventually leading reviews as an emerging scholar in a broad yet interconnected area of her research program. During Part II, Lee will connect SNU graduate researchers with useful information and resources for embarking on a systematic review, meta-analysis, or other type of synthesis (e.g., rapid review, scoping review, umbrella review). Day 2 lecture will consist of providing step-by-step guidance to SNU graduate researchers to conduct their own systematic review/meta-analysis (optional) following a standardized protocol and using a web-based software platform, COVIDENCE, that streamlines the production of systematic reviews and other research reviews.
